The 2016 football season has begun. Along with all hoopla that goes with the season, perhaps one of the most important elements is the food. You need great snacks when you watch the game. Be prepared for your next watch party with this spicy nachos recipe.

Ingredients:

2 cups Pinto Beans

Tortilla chips

2 cups grated Monterey Jack

Pico de Gallo

Freshly ground black pepper

Tabasco sauce

Minced garlic

Jarred or fresh jalapenos, chopped or sliced, to taste

1 can Mexican red sauce or enchilada sauce

Start off your nachos by preparing the beans. Soak your beans overnight to ensure they’re ready for the morning. Then you can proceed to cook the beans, however, you’re welcome to use canned beans if you choose. Once the beans have been cooked, add in your spices. Add the Tabasco sauce, garlic, pepper, and jalapenos to your liking.

In a baking dish, layer your seasoned beans with the tortilla chips, Pico de gallo, enchilada sauce, and cheese, repeating the layers until the dish is filled. Put it in the oven and broil until the cheese has melted. Remove the dish from the oven and garnish with any remaining Pico de gallo.

Serve and enjoy with family and friends.
